About Dr. Rosenquist

Dr. Rosenquist's soon-to-be-published book "After The Stork" takes postpartum depression out of the box - out of the gender box, out of the culture box, and out of the hormone box to take a truly multidimensional look at this growing problem. Postpartum depression isn't just for moms anymore. And as we Americans export our values, beliefs and expectancies to other cultures, "postpartum" depression, like "regular" depression grows worldwide.

Dr. Rosenquist is a board certified clinical health psychologist. Before she was a psychologist, she was a "third culture kid" - someone who grew up all over the world. Her childhood as the child of a Foreign Service officer took her from Tucson Arizona to Tunis, Tunisia, Buenos Aires, Argentina, Montevideo, Uruguay, Bangkok, Thailand, and San Salvador, El Salvador. Her background as a global nomad means she brings to her work a much richer, culturally varied perspective on mental illness in general and postpartum depression in particular than is typical.
